Childless

It is well known that I’ve longed for you – waited for you to be born…

My eyes water at the thought of you.

I can imagine the sound of your cry, the sweet curve in your smile.

I often wonder if you’ll have dad’s eyes or mom’s lips-

will you have any resemblance of me.

With each passing day, I wonder if I’ll ever be granted the privilege of holding your hand

or rocking you to sleep…teaching you all I know.

A true blessing you are…a gift from God! Entrusted to me, your dad, to raise and guide,

given to me to behold the splendor of your very being. My doll baby – what more

could I possibly ask for.

As you learn and grow, I seek comfort that I will always be a part of you.

I am a part of your roots – and you are my legacy to this world. Grow.

Spread your wings and fly high above the sea…fly higher then you’ve ever imagined.

Don’t be afraid to try…for God didn’t give you the spirit of fear. Fly doll baby, fly high above the sea.

There will be so many times you’ll want to give up…So many times

you’ll feel the weight of the world on your shoulders…Hold on!

Rest well, my love, and know that I will always love you and that you are a dream realized. You are perfect in every way. I could not have asked God for a better doll baby.
