Children

Through the eyes of a child many things are unclear

But it's okay because loving arms are always near

And when kids don't understand they use their imagination

The solution to their problems is of their own creation

But thes children grow up and turn into people like you and me

They open their eyes and for the first time they really see

They see that mom and dad don't have that fairy tale kindof love

They see that insecurities are almost impossible to rise above

They see friends aren't always loyal and cooties aren't real

They see that the truth does hurt and sometimes you don't wanna feel

But most of all what happens to people like you and me

Is that they wish to be children

Children that cannot see
