Children in this Naive World

As children

we cant wait to find independence and grow up

but we could never predict

that we would be entirely consumed by the grasps of society;

starvation and worthlessness

the lack of value

that has us seated, wondering

if the simple task of taking our eyes off the wall and falling out of bed

could allow a little

hope

into the crevice of our bodies.

but do we want it to get better?

no

this abyss of lonliness has helped us understand truth

some form of truth

the entity of life lies in your own hands

so what is the rush?

to escape your childish antics to be

drowned with sorrow.

to no longer be able to imagibe the simple joys that used to perplex

your mind

no, stay forever young

never let the world take that from

you.
