Children's Day
Music at full blast
Dancing hell out of
their scrawny lives
in the scorching sun.
Move the shoulders
humped by the big
bulky school bags
fluttering the fingers
stiffened by
the little Atlas pen
shaking the backs
hardened by
tuition benches
straightening the legs
benumbed by
sitting too long.
I hear the voice
of their hearts
roaring above
the racy music
"Oh, please, please
give us our freedom".
