A Child's Diary

This is a diary for every child used and abused, A poem for every child who cries at night, Alone with shame, pain, and fright. Here is a page for every child who only wants so much to only feel a gentle touch. Words written for beaten the children, who’ve cried in pain, Whose tears run silent, like the rain Here are a series of lines linked together for the beaten to satisfy the lust, Of those who never learned to love or trust. This is for the children taken from their homes, and made to feel so alone. These letters attempt to describe those whose home is a shell, Where life becomes a living hell. Lastly, I’m writing for the children who smile, But cannot feel because the scars are too deep to heal. I have felt your pain, you are not alone.
