The Child's Eye

Ah... The adolescent age... Truly the good old days.... Before society taught me to hate, taught me to love... A word that once was... Now merely the definition of curopt. A time when I could truly say I'd go crawling after the big blue ball and turn my back on the glistening pot of gold... And I would cry! Oh how I would cry for that scrumptious chocolate chip cookie that my mom would hide... I could honestly say i would have given up the heavens for that chocolaty mess. But what was heaven in a child's eyes... Nothing! I lived in a boxed fort with no girls allowed, I sang made up words, and I'd draw on the walls with no diaper on! I was reckless! A savage! And I did it all without hurting a fly.... and when I was scared my mom would shu all the monsters away... and when I would cry... when I would cry she would sing me a song about how everything was alright... It was okay... Ah... the adolescent age... Truly the good old days. . . Before society taught me to hate....
