Chill Out

We aren't trying

Why aren't we TRYING

We have put a man on the moon (more than one)

We have invented a tiny device that is a camera

a phone

a music player

and so much more

You can not TELL me we can't find another way to power our lives

We HAVE to find another way to power our lives

Because it is TOO. DAMN. HOT.

If I could change one thing

Any thing

We would start trying

And fast

To find a way to power our lives that doesn't trap heat, the doesn't melt ice caps, that won't run out

that won't eventually kill us all.

I don't like to preach but this is so. important.

We need to start working so we can chill out

Because once it's too late...

it's too late.

We don't get another planet.

And as sweat runs down by body, I know it is not just from the heat

but from fear.

Fear of what will happen to my children

The sort of world they will inherit

And their children

And their children

Until there are no more children because there is nowhere left for them to live.

We need to star trying to find alternative energy

We need to start trying to end global warming

We need to start trying to save the planet

We need to start trying so we can chill out

Before it is too late.
