Chilvary's Dead

You will never understand a woman's heart unless you've been in her shoes Her smile could light up the room, and you still wouldn't have a clue She may let you in a little, but she still keeps her secrets During the day she reveals no struggle, but at night she's at her weakest Being abused by the force of a strong male hand It's nearly impossible for this woman to take her own stand She's been trapped with darkness and fear deep inside her; Wondering when the love of her life became the stranger beside her These rhetorical questions contributed to her sorrow Always hoping for a glimpse of a brighter tomorrow He used to treat her like a queen, how all women deserved But he quickly stopped doing the things it took to get her She felt ashamed at how easily she was decieved Judging his character solely on how he "seemed" She felt like the only one struggling with what she was put through But she's one of the millions who have to put up with what men do See we live in a world where women have fought their way from the bottom up Wanting equal status, but had little or no luck But at the cost of wanting to rise to the top Chilvary became something that we all forgot "I don't need a man's help, anything he can do I can do better" Women slowly became dominant, and men simply laid down and let her Men who love and respected women got lost within time These men became only the men we carry in our minds
