Chipping Canvas

The flowing covering every inch of my face like a waterfall on a painting

The warm liquid trickling down, falling onto my shirt as if it were a canvas

It all feels so familiar

So so so familiar

Repetitvely coming back to me when the clock strikes into the night

The stars rise with the moon like white paint getting splattered

And my guard falls, shattering into pieces

My mind sketches out my issues for my eyes to watch

Watch like a child's favorite movie

Watch like my minds stuck on a replay button

The sketch comes alive at night

The finishing touches never come

Instead, the drawing never ends

The drawing sometimes even gets erased and redone

But it never gets finished

My mind is the artist

And the artist continuously takes time on their painting

This painting has been worked on for 14 years

14 years and this painting stresses out anyone watching

People talk so much about this painting

They talk too much about my painting

The artists limbs are sore and limp

So tired, but continues to paint on the canvas

So so tired and desperately needs a break from the brushes

So so so tired and finally put down the paints, the painting is done

But then I woke up in the hospital

And my painting continued.
