Chloe

She is four. At the moment she is Screaming. Screaming and running and jumping and wanting to 'help'. Crying and whining and falling and always hurting SOMETHING. Zooming through the store. Not letting me play because "I'm too big". Squealing so I won't hug her or brush her hair or tie her shoes or put on her jacket. Angry because I won't find her colors or make her food or pick out her clothes or read her a book. She is Sleeping. Peaceful and beautiful and QUIET. Stirring. What does she dream of? Is it of me? Of the songs we sing, the games we play, or the times we laugh? Does she dream of the future? Of being like mommy and teaching at the big kid school? Of playing volleyball like me, or basketball like her other sisters? Does she wonder in her sleep? Why we have school, or Christmas, or colors? Does she solve the biggest equations, or answer the questions of the universe while she slumbers... Or is she the answer?
