Chocolate Fur

To that someone I cannot seem to ignore,

the one helps me when I cry on the kitchen floor,

who catches my tears before more return,

the one that is always around,

like a small shadow that slowly guides me past every turn,

and as pathetic as this may sound,

when no one else was there,

when it felt like no one else gave a single care,

your hazel eyes peered at me,

and time and time you set your cold nose into my bare hand,

and whimpered a quiet plea,

as if you were to understand,

despite the dark desolation that consumed,

I was not destined to be doomed,

your message was clear and precise,

I needed you as you needed me,

and on that I can't put a price,

and although your warmth always gives me glee,

I know there is not much time for us left to share,

so I must tell you, as you are unaware,

you have constantly brought me the happiness that I always seek,

and before your bright hues turn bleak,

I write my neverending gratitude for you.. in this instance,

my temporary friend that has eased my existance.
