Choice
If all you choose to see is pain in suffering
Then that is what will be
You choose to give up to leave
Who said you had to fall off the tower that built you up so high
Why not fly
The devil only destroys what you let him touch
He only takes what you offer too much
It’s a choice you have a mere fault of your own
You reap what you've sown
The world is not a beast that hunts for your heart
It's a mirror reflecting the darkness you start
The light is within, a flame you must guard
Don't wait for a hero, don't play the discarded card
If you open your eyes too see you’d learn
The devil's voice is mute, his power weak
He has no song for those who will not speak
His name, nor listen for the tempting sound
It is within your choosing he is found
A guest invited, or a ghost dismissed
Only through your consent does he exist
