The Choice

The one that I owe my life to

She is the one that I'd like to

Keep with me forever and always

The one who holds me up when I fall down

She helps me smile when I frown

If there is one thing that I can't live without

It is my mom without a doubt

She is my rock as I am hers

My life forever in her arms

She protects me from all harm

We may laugh and we may fight

But everyday she shines so bright

My mom, my heart and, my soul

She has the most important role

Although she is a single mom

She is always oh so strong

She works hard day and night

To make sure that we are alright

Never without what we need

Despite us sprouting up like weeds

I don't know what I would do without

Through her love and her support

Everyday since I was born

Working hard is what she's shown

She supports what I choose

To do in life win or lose

I am who I am because of her

That is why I am not sure

What I'd do without her

That is why I will vow

To always make her proud
