A choice to drown

I'd rather caution myself when approaching your being.

I recognize the danger of your anatomy,

daring not to cause commotion; to your soul.

I chose not to be stranded in your oceans of emotions

or ponder on the puddles of your devotion.

Doing so, would cause me to drown in you.

Lost in the tides of your waves,

struggling to swim through your substances only helped me to realize that we were on the same boat but on a different page.

I was unable to grasp the outer moistness of your mind because I was still submerged under.

Resurfacing would only help me to breathe from the life threatening waters you promised

so I chose to take a breath,

and free myself from your ocean.
