The Choice is Yours

Four little girls with ponytails and curls Went to church to learn of the Lord But what they encountered could not have been predicted They were blown to pieces, dead, and their spirits lifted Cruel beyond means, these girls were killed by a foe The KKK had succeeded with the help of their friend Jim Crow. They were after our children After our youth Because they knew that inside them was knowledge, strength, and truth. Their concept was right: Let's break down the child, destroy what's inside, so they'll crumple and fall and grow up to comply. But our young, black youth learned from those who were older and wiser Not from those who were phony They learned from their elders to have the greater testimony. So, in this day and age, why have our youth fallen to the simple tricks of this world? Trying to impress little boys and little girls It's because we did not value the price He paid when He died and set us free We've allowed the world access to our hearts, even handing them the key I,myself, feel like there's a leash still in control of me It's as if the world is our master and has taught us to behave Millions of young lost souls, acting as this worlds slave. There was a reason He arose on the third day, He created the way And has allowed us to stay, in His will. Jesus is the vine God is the Husbandman And we are His wife It's your choice, Will you find Him in your youth and stay with Him all the days of your life?
