Choices

If i am faced with a decision, returning myself to an enternity of acid-like words poured onto my skin

or forever darkness with sadness left behind

I would surely choose the darkness, because my forever is too long to spend fearing the judgement of others

My emotions feel like a flood, being held back by the weakest of dams

Holding together, but struggling everyday

Letting go causes more destruction and chaos though, for the reality nobody knows is far wider than the dam lead them to believe

Being alone used to bring me so much fear, but now it brings relief

For when i am alone, is the only time I am not faced with criticism and scruntiny
