Choices

My eyes slowly opened in a dull recognition, that what I had become was a sheer escapade of unconscious decisions. Pain ached down deep, I tried and tried, I could not sleep, but only weep. and weep. Searching for colour in a world turned grey. just one single light, but my minds gone astray. a flicker of truth and ounce of courage, was I all I needed, but all i found was garbage to rummage. Then out of the grey appeared a hint of blue. wrapped in a package and that package was you. You lit up my life, took away my fears. We stayed up late chatting over beers. minutes led to hours and soon it went black, time was lost, I'd had another attack. No memory of what I had done, Why o why did we start on the rum. By morning you were gone as fast as you come... just a painful memory of how it begun. I swear I'll be different, I swear I won't drink, I'll pour all the bottles straight down the sink. Too many lies, deciets, promises broke The scars on our lives, It's what we evoke.
