choices ... selfishness
Proverbs 1:20-21 New English Translation
Warning against Disregarding Wisdom
20 Wisdom calls out in the street,
she shouts loudly in the plazas;
21 at the head of the noisy streets, she calls,
in the entrances of the gates in the city she utters her words:
Choices ... selfishness
The louder our own voices the more noise interferes
Even from some pulpits, the world seems to scramble on
If only the voice of wisdom that whispers from the corner
On life’s path intersections were paid attention too by some
Filled with excuses, my eyes stare at and focus on my goals
Nothing can draw our attention away from what I think I need
Just look at my prosperity and success I call my very own
How can I doubt in what I see, for the Lord rewards my pleas?
What you see is what you get. Well isn’t that the perfect leaven?
Won’t I carry that with me into “my” Eternal destination?
To become exactly in what you see, isn’t that placed called Heaven?
Won’t that be the perfect to be or not to be, because of Salvation?
