Choose Happiness

Why don't you see me?

When I'm near

Right here.

But see me

When you think that I am wrong,

It's gone on too long

I need to be me.

Why should I hide?

I have lied.

That's not me

I use to wear a mask,

Hide with my flask.

I will be me

No more,

I can't ignore.

Happiness is for me

I love her,

Throw your slur.

There is love for me

Say i'm not allowed,

Say I'll be dammed.

I will stand for me

Speak out,

Change is about.

I do it for we.

For every scared girl

and boy.

We won't fit your mold,

It's time to be bold.

We make our stand.

We cannot be banned.
