Chords to My Soul

Dear friend,

You saved me all those years ago

Back when I thought it was the end...

Every pain became easier to mend.

And you're the reason why.

Why I'm still here.

You gave me the Pilots and a Chance,

And though I always enjoyed dance

You gave it a purpose.

A place.

You filled that hole with Grace.

Yet in the past I never knew

All of the voices that made you:

Some are high,

Some are low,

Sometimes they are quick,

And others are slow,

But no matter who you play

You always know what to say.

Watching me all through the Days and Nights

The only one who can see behind my stage

As I Imagine Dragons and question my Logic

You helped me break through my mental cage

Music my friend,

I used to be the Passenger on this Journey

And without you

I wouldn't have grew.

So to you music,

I say thank you

Love,

Chris
