The Chosen
They say that
The story simply
Writes
Itself
And when you feel a story inside you
Pushing to get out of your
Head
You know that you are just the vessel
And you must bring this tale to life.
It’s as if stories fall like apples from some great Tree,
Choose whose head they land in,
Plant their seeds.
And soon you cannot breathe
Without thinking of that story
Its characters
Plot twists
And if you don’t
They’ll leave you
Find someone else to tell their story
And you’re left alone.
I write to escape that empty,
Lonely
Feeling
When a story abandons you
Because you were not faithful
You did not honor the pact:
If you are graced with an idea
You must bring that idea to life
