Christmas Alone: To My Mom

Lights are on the tree Some presents already underneath But the one thing I want I can never receive Cursed to look like her reflection But I will not have the same fate Every Christmas without her Will never be perfection Do you want to, you know.. find her..? Everyone asks me this I've known the answer since birth But I feel like a worthless cur I always miss the one I mirror Christmas, and birthdays are the worst But these blue eyes rimmed with tears Could never be clearer Just to have my mom by my side Would make the scars disappear But I know it probably wont happen So every year I hide I put on a smile for the world Throw in a few uncertain laughs But deep inside I'm just a little girl So another Christmas alone Another day wasted Don't worry about me mom, Your baby girl still wishes you would come home
