The Christmas Season

Stormy weather fills the skies,

the wind glides swiftly through the trees,

howling in the night,

as the limbs snap and break.

The soul of the hollow ground cries,

as the winter snow buries the ground,

in a shroud of bitterness that bites its depths.

the people stay within their homes,

Enjoying wholesome Christmas meals,

while joyous music revives the spirit.

The lessons of the true meaning of the holiday,

are passed down to a new generation,

so they too may better understand its significance,

a gift which never fades,

but rather prevails from era to the next,

evolving overtime.

RebelPoet

A small town New England poet from CT. I like figuring out ways to make words work. Suppose you could call me a Rebel Poet. I write about your standard themes in different ways. I also write about experiences, changes, etc. I'd like it if you'd read what I post and leave constructive criticism. I don't consider debates constructive or conducive to writing, though.
