Christmas Will Come Again

There’s comfort in knowing-

That Christmas will come again.

Springtime’s hurry will pass,

And after summer and fall

Will come peaceful snow.

No season ever lasts-

In this world below…

And though I know not whether I

Will be alive when tomorrow comes;

If this very day I die-

This weariness severed from-

I’ll still take comfort in the thought-

Of Christmas

    And of home.

And since - I think - I likely will

Remain to see Christmas again,

I shall take comfort still-

In the thought of then.
