Cinderella


As time ticks 
 
she runs away
 
down the steps,
 
she can’t stay.
 
One step behind
 
the prince follows
 
he won’t stop,
 
without a name.
 
She turns around
 
steps into light
 
whispers her name,
 
then leaves his sight.
