Cinderella

Wrong were the story's we were told as children
A prince will find you and carry you away
Your chance to shine is soon to come
A prince who has been made, and used
Numerous times by numerous people

But is that what you want
Someone who will change you
put you on a pedestal

Or do you want to be the one who changes the story
The one who makes her own path
Waiting for no prince to free her from the darkness
Making her own light and freeing others just like her

The one who doesn't listen to the story's, but makes her own
Has her own thoughts, and ideas about the way the world works
and isn't going to let something as silly as a fairytale, drag her down
