Cinderella and the Fool

One upon a time

Cinderella left home

For a step-mothers crime

Foster care was where she'd roam

A princess without a home

In new school

She met the class fool

With laughter so sweet

He had her heartbeat

And wrapped her in a smile so new

Such greatness she did possess

For her scholarly success

That the fool soon knew

He could never undo

The spell spun 'round his heart

Together they stayed

Though each afraid

Of a feeling

Growing inside

Keeping his calm

The fool soldiered on

Asking young Cinderella

To the school's year prom

So on the night

Under the silver starlight

Cinderella attended the ball

Finding her fool

A newly born prince

And the most glorious man of them all
