CInderella Fellas

Roses were red,

The violets a deep blue,

Like the blue soap,

Stepmother makes me use.

Chores keep me to myself,

But these are my favorite times.

I get to focus on the things I know,

While love is a distant past time.

I listen to the love stories,

My step-sisters practice a swoon.

Really, who needs love,

When you can just love you?

Things do get boring here,

So a distraction would be fine.

Talking to animals isn’t thrilling,

So I begged for a fun night.

Bumped into a fairy,

Who promised fun until midnight..

I danced my heart out,

With all my might!

Before long the prince and I,

Locked eyes under the strobe lights.

The prince he fell for me as I flead.

He took my shoe to his head,

like it was the last word he’d ever read.

All I needed was some time away,

Who knew someone would be carried away.

Went back to my chores,

And life continued like this rhyme.

But within a week the prince was on one knee,

Promising a marriage bind.

Weak in the knees,

I tried to flee.

But the prince was the clingy type.

Now I’m a queen,

Yay! For me.

Who never sought out this life.
