Cinderella Reworked
Up I look and I am shaken,
For I am awaken,
By the most beautiful dame.
Now we all know how it would be a shame
If I did not dance with her at my ball.
I hope I will fall
For this magical broad
As she has already gnawed
Her way into my heart.
Her gorgeous gown of silky blues
with sparkly glass shoes
She does stand out from the fields
Of grey and black that yield
The rest of the partygoers use to dress.
Now, it would be my guess
That she is not used to this much attention
For she looks as beautiful as a gentian.
She is all I can see in my heart.
As she draws near,
I call to the dear,
And ask for her hand in this dance.
I ask if I can have a chance
To get to know
Everything about her although,
I would like to start with her name
As she is to blame
For the stutter in my heart.
My name is Cinderella she says.
Through further discussion as
we glide and pivot about
I learn tonight is her first night out.
She has evil steps using her as a slave
And would like to work her to the grave.
When the clock strikes midnight
She runs in fright.
In her clutches is my heart.
But look! There is a glass shoe stuck
On the stairs in some muck.
It is a much-needed clue
I will find her with the shoe.
If I can find who it will fit
Then I will commit
Myself to the owner
And no longer be a loner.
For Cinderella is my heart.
There is one house left to check
Before my hopes become a wreck.
But I have finally found my love
And will now propose of
Marriage as she is the perfect broad
Who has gnawed
Her way into my heart.
