Cinderella's Nightmare
If I were a rose, everyone would want me.
My worries would be behind me.
I would not have a care in the world.
All those fairy tales will no longer end with a the romance that I am never apart of.
If I were a rose, then I would have it all.
Beauty
Grace
They will fill my heart
Worries
Everlasting pain
Heartache will all be behind me
They will all come for me, but I will have the power to deny them.
If I were a rose, Cinderella would never have the
Chance to take the prince away that day.
I would have looked into his eyes.
Instantly, he would have known it was me.
He would not have hesitated for that golden haired girl with the icy blue dress.
She would not had taken him from me.
Stay! Stay! I say inside my heart, for I had known my words
Would not sway the prince and thus we part.
From that moment on, I vowed to get him back.
I knew that I will not have this happen any longer.
I knew that there was more
Behind that dress and behind those shoes.
I will stand my ground.
From that moment on, I became the rose and claimed my rightful place.
No longer will I stand for her goodness.
At long last I have claimed my prince.
I was finally happy.
