Cinderella's thoughts
I clean, I scrub
from the mantel to the tub
I clean, I scrub
Such a mundane life
Not much strife
Except for my sisters' endless bickering
Nothing seeems worth mentioning
Yes I wish for some excitement
Oh how I wish for some amusement
The ball seems like the perfect thing
to bring me out of my head
But alas it is only wishful thinking
I only made my stepmother see red
I knew from the start
that I didn't belong
Now this lady that practices black art
made me feel strong
if only for a few hours
for when the clock strikes twelve
this dream will be put on a shelve
a mere decoration like a bed of flowers
No one recognized me
I have no proof
Just an amazing night that made me see
That I should take control of my rooof
I run downstairs to make my stand
But i am shoved into the kitchen
I feel fear but I hear a demand
A familiar voice pitches in
I can hardly believe it
The shoe doesn't fit either of my sisters
I am most startled that the prince is ready to commit
I feel bad for my stepsisters
My stepmother is forced to brimg me out
and of course the shoe fits perfectly
The prince and I decide to take the same route
However I wish to gude my father's estate fearlessly
The prince and I court each other
And all becomes clear
The days pass and I wait for another
I now wonder what's near.
