The Circle

Four years and I have built a family

Theater, something I never knew I needed

Until it was gone

I look back on the times we made that circle

Closed our eyes, held hands

Love, faith, tradition, and family

That is what we learned

Seniors create an inner circle

A speech is made that we won’t forget

As a look around I memorize the faces

The faces of people who’ve become my family

Because next year, I won’t be coming back

And just like that the feeling rushed in

I am leaving this place

The place I call my second home

I am grown, and it’s time

Even though some parts may hurt,

This is the beginning of the climb
