Circle

Sound explodes around the corner

A web sparkles so brightly on the wall

Every color imaginable

The wall ends at the web

The web is small

But intricate

There are knots

Twists

Loops

And suddenly—

It ends

Everything skews out of order

“It was a small lie” she cries over and over

But to no avail

            One lie or

Not

From birth to death

It took her.
