Circling Rose Petals
First loves are like rose petals
Each one circles around like water in a drain
You believe that loving them is inevitable
It does not matter the amount of pain
There goes one petal
When they say something not so nice
You're hurt, you hate them, but you don't give up
You just reroll your dice
The second petal lowers to its death
A true love like this won't blow up without a fight
First loves are evanescent
They're the last thing you think about at the end of each night
This is the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh petal
So many hurtful memories yet your love is everlasting
Forever forgiving is greatest flaw to obtain
Out from your chest your heart is blasting
You're left with the stem and what sits on top
By this time the relationship is gone
Moving on is like pushing a ton of lead
You're left with nothing, simply nothing to act on
