City

I hate it, I hate it all.

No stars a night.

All those buildings blocking me.

Blocking my spirit from soaring.

I need to leave this place.

I need to leave the people.

The wind calls to me.

I hate the city.

The birds sing of flying.

The wolves howl of running.

I am stuck here in this awful place.

I want to leave the city.

I hear the sea calling me.

I hear her singing to me.

Yet I cannot reach her.

The city blocks my path.

The city is my prison.

I hate it, I hate it all.

To leave it to be at peace.

I have to wait until I age.

To exit the city I have to wait.

I want to leave.

The ocean is my home.

I need the sea.

The city cannot hold me for long.

I will leave this place.

I will leave and never come back.

The city’s walls will fall.

The city will die.

I hate it, I hate it all.
