A city that bleeds
A city that bleeds,
O gentlemen! With pious creeds,
Preaching sermons,
Teaching to live with peace,
Please look at my city,
If your heart throbs,
You will feel a pity,
It profusely bleeds,
Do you like to know
Who make it to bleed,
It is your crookedness,
Disguised as creed,
It is your lust,
It is your greed,
Great ethics in vain,
When one does not apply his brain,
So is fraternity,
The civil society,
And the international community,
Why they destroyed my city,
As flies to the wanton boy,
So we are to the super powers,
They shower bombs, and fire by tanks,
They destroyed my city,
For their pranks,
But as civilized, they do it,
With thanks.
The homes, that were full of lives,
Where meal was cooked by the busy wives,
Where innocent children
Used to play with toys,
The schools were there,
Housing young girls and boys,
Reciting prayers while lisping,
Their glittering eyes,
Seeing bright future and good thing,
There was a hospital,
nursing newly born,
A notice stood there,
“Don’t blow horn”
To save little baby,
From sound pollution,
The drunkard rowdy drivers,
Passing by there,
Took so much care,
Did not blow horn,
With respect to institution,
But, O! Gentleman,
You make big blasts there,
And air strikes,
Without giving a thought,
To whom it strikes,
Killing innocents, old and young ones,
You attacked residences, institutions,
sparing no one.
You did it as a mercy upon us,
To fight against terrorists, and to save us.
But neither I am saved nor my city,
You destroyed it all, without feeling pity,
Firstly I suffered in the hands of terrorists,
Now all is gone, in the hands of friendly forces,
So, it is a city, that bleeds and bleeds,
It profusely bleeds
For the sake of your creeds,
