City Lights

Thu, 03/19/2015 - 17:43 -- eburden

City Lights, Valley low

Watching through all the snow

From this highway where I stand

Twinching fingers, aprehensive hand

City Lights, how you glow

Twinkling dots put on a show

Take my mind, mesmerize me

Lead me to wishful thoughts, and dreams

City Lights, scattered far

Endless show, for passing cars

Do they stop, and see the show?

Or proceed on past this glow

City Lights Valley Low

Here I stand, no one knows

Forget the day, forget the past

Peace and silence here at last
