The City Lost

The bombardment of booms that echoed the grounds
Stirred sounds of shrill shrieks that surrounded the mounds-
The people who are lost and will never be found
Will never reach the Holy ground.

He who decided our fates intertwined
Has blurred the vision of our moral line-
Chaos and death are all on the mind
As the sand storms have kept them hidden in time.

To save ourselves and our kin
We must understand that no one wins-
Our hands are shaky as we pick up the pens
To sign our problems and make amends.
