City Skyline

Manmade stars seen through

ash shadows blanketing

this city made numb,

the unmaking of man,

thread unwinding from its spool

too quick to remember.

Creation bleeds oil-black,

seeping into the pavement,

never knew till it was too late,

isn’t it ironic?

Hey there, I'm a Freshman Unspecified Arts Major in college and I am a bookkeeper. I've always loved the rawness of poetry so if my poems are a bit jumbled, that's why!
