The city,Oh the city

The city, Oh the city

The streets, the lights, the sounds of cars beep

The city ain’t no regular place

The city is filled with so much grace

As I look around smiling from cheek to cheek

The city makes my knees go weak

Where do I go, what do I do?

The city, oh how vast are you?

The streetlights twinkle in my eyes

Children running across the street, risking their lives

Car horns blaring, police car sirens wailing

The city, oh how confusing

A mix of emotions tis the city

Fear, happiness, admiration

A place of hope, A place of sorrow

No way of telling your tomorrow

The city, Oh the city
