Black,
White,
No matter what color or race,
Thank those who made this place truly,
The “land of the free”,
From Martin to Malcolm,
From Rosa to Wilkins,
From Dubois to Washington
Or Corona the leader,
To ordinary citizens who joined together for righteousness,
Who walked miles even thought their “feet we tired”,
But their “soul was at rest”,
Together they fought,
Fought for “liberty and Justice for all”,
Sacrificing their blood
Their sweat,
Their lives,
And everything they had,
So that we can live in peace and harmony,
And it is we who forget these great people,
People who put their words to action,
Made their dreams reality,
Because they knew the true power they had,
And the heart to use it,
We should not forget,
We shall not let their memories die in vain,
Nor let their efforts be wasted,
They did something that we could have never done,
The least we can do is remember them,
Honor them.
