The Civil Rights Movement
There were blacks
And there were whites
But they did not exist together
Separate facilities
Separate areas
It seemed like nothing would get better.
Along came Martin Luther King
Who spoke for civil rights
A memorable figure forever
Eventually segregation was ended
Now the only boundary
Is only a letter.
