Civil Rights Will Never Die
They say i wont go to college
because of the color of my skin
they say i will amount to nothing
because of the pigment that Im in
they call me
dumb, stupid, lazy, good for nothing
but i will them my civil rights will never die
all men were created equal
and women too
and never will i let someone tell me otherwise.
Ladies and Gentlemen
little children too
when you allow someone else to tell you
you are less than perfect
then your civil rights will die
But
when you remember that you are perfect and beautiful
you will as maya angelou says "rise"
to the peak of utmost perfection
and your civil right will never die.
