Clandestine

Steely smiles and iron eyes

Golden gates and silver sighs

But bronze bruises betray the lies

And emptiness ensues

Amethyst anger and sapphire snickers

Fire opal fights and bloodstone bickers

But ruby red blood is still thicker

If only she knew

Wormwood woman and marigold man

Daisy daughter and Bird of Paradise ban

But her hawthorn hope makes her think she can

But what is there to do.

So she cries her turquoise tears

to drown her flame red fears

Against the charcoal chill she brings the blanket near

The bruises fresh and blue

But now she accepts Peitho’s pill

Dinlas’s dreams and Kratos’s kill

Of this world’s Erebus’s egocentrics she’s had her fill

And away she flew.
