Clarisse McClellan


As delicate as a snowflake
With a look of pale surprise,
With dark eyes from which 
No image can escape,
Trying everything once
And sometimes even twice,
People call her anti-social 
Though she’s only quite afraid,
“Goodbye, Mr. Montag”
“Goodbye”
“Goodbye…”
And know she’s gone
Back to an era,
Where people were like her
