Clarity

My heart, it beat

Softly, statically

the steady hum of

drying laundry

My heart, it sprung

my eyes traced through

as the saunter of your step

entered the room

My heart, it questioned

was it safe to stumble

after so many years

My heart, it fell

Your hands were there
