Clarity

I was once a once a panorama of greys and zeros.

Bland, tasteless, like a soybean left in the sun.

My brain was square, straight and narrow.

Void of color and frivolous thoughts.

A ray of light pierces through the dark clouds like a crimson knight sword.

A rhythmic set of words dance in front of my clouded eyes.

Rhymes, syllables, stanzas, meter, verse

Love, clarity, lively brightness, freedom

Filled with color and creative thoughts.

My brain now wonders, open and free.

Vibrant, tasteful. Like a cherry lollipop glistening in the morning sun.

Now I am a picture book of rainbows and possibilities.

I am free.
