In This Class

The school bell rings and I look up from my book,

But in this class, I would rather not upwards look.

I groan inside as I see the teacher's coffee-stained smile,

But in this class, I'd learn more from the ceiling tile.

We are to be learning of how to analyze the ink stained pages of our tome,

But in this class, I wish I had just stayed home.

He doesn't teach, he only plays his game,

But in this class, it's the same.

I want to scream, I want to learn and it's absurd,

That in this English class, I will never be heard.
