The Classroom

I knew from a young age,

the classroom is where I engage.

As my teacher explained something new,

my love for school grew and grew.

Children's impressionable young eyes and ears,

imitate their teacher throughout the years.

I want to be a teacher who inspires,

who all students admire.

So I am excited to shape children's lives through their young years,

To help them overcome sorrows and dry their tears!

I may not want to be an astronaut or firefighter,

but I know I can make my students' lives a little bit brighter.
