Claws
I sit here with trembling hands whisking away tears
I'm frozen, unable to stop the endless salty waterfall
Drop by drop, I lose a piece of me
As the façade slips off,
I want to scream to the world that I’m not who you see me to be
But I fear judgement
So instead of announcing the darkness that dwells within me,
I let it stay, a manifestation of sorrow that holds me down
It sinks in its grubby claws
Never to let me go
I’m a prisoner of my own mind
I try to break free
But I’ve been cast too far deep
Drowning, I let it consume me, until the only thing I feel is hollow...
I'm sorry
